Life Lessons from The Divas
On Wednesday, February 21, 2007 Whitefield's 2007 graduating class and the middle school were entertained by Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, and Diana Ross! Joanna Maddox (www.joannamaddox.com) did a resounding presentation entitled Life Lessons from The Divas. It was an enthusiastic and interactive concert and motivational event. There were many unforgettable highlights such as Jennifer Pinkett-Smith and Nicole Parker (Middle School Teachers) portrayed as The Supremes. The crowd was also wowed when eighth grader Kenya Ayers stole the show with her rendition of Tina Turner's 'What's Love Got To Do With It.' The lessons from The Divas were: Love Yourself, Never Give Up, and Believe in Yourself!
